Congregational Care Committee

Our goal is to love and serve others, provide support for members in time of crisis and need, and to create a sense of belonging by helping everyone become a part of our congregation. All church members are asked when they have a need or become aware of the needs of their fellow church members to contact the Congregational Care Committee at carecomm@fcpc.org or by calling the Church office at 688-2163.

Our Activities

Cards & Letters	Cards and letters are sent during times of crisis, distress, and celebration to keep in touch and to show that we care.
Home/Hospital Visitation	We assist the ministers at Fountain City Presbyterian Church with visitation of members who are locally hospitalized and/or at home recovering.
Transportation	We provide transportation for those unable to drive to attend church activities and to meet health needs.
Nurture Ministry	For our members who are no longer able to fellowship at the church on a regular basis, Congregational Care Committee members are assigned to make frequent visits, phone calls, and provide other care as needed.
Audio Tapes	We provide individuals confined to their homes, audio tapes of the worship services are available upon request.
Home Communion	For members who are confined to their homes, communion at home is provided.
Home Touch Newsletter	The Home Touch Newsletter has general information of interest to individuals who confined to their homes and is distributed monthly upon request.
GriefShare Workshop	GriefShare is a 13-week workshop for people grieving the loss of someone close. Each session includes a video seminar featuring top experts on grief and recovery subjects.
