The Children’s Ministry Team of Fountain City Presbyterian Church is very committed to the children of our church having a solid Biblical foundation. We want to ensure that by using the following guidelines when making decisions for our children.

Nursery
The Nursery is located on the 1st floor of the Davis Education Building and ministers to children birth to pre-kindergarten. Children are met each week by a paid nursery worker to ensure structure and consistency. Children are divided by age and the classroom names are listed below. The nursery is open from 9:00 to 12:00. Birth to 1 year-Baby Angels Classroom 1 year to 2 years-Pooh and Friends Classroom 2 years to 3 years-Noah’s Kids 3 years-Pre-Kindergarten-Rainbow Kids Room Sunday school hour- Children have an age appropriate Bible story, prayer time, fun Christian music and play time. After a child’s 3rd Birthday (when parents feel that they are ready) they are promoted to the 3 year old – Pre-Kindergarten class that is located in the Rainbow Kids Room. The curriculum used is Gospel Light and the class is lovingly taught by Bruce and Donna Hager and Laurismar Wrinkle. |

School Age Children
Music is from 9:50-10:05 in the Choir Room on the 3rd floor. Sunday School is from 10:05-10:50 and the classes are located 2nd floor of the Davis Education Building. K-1 meet in room 206 Grades 2-3 meet in room 205 Grades 4-5 meet in room 203 The curriculum used for all grades is Gospel Light. Extended Session At the 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. worship services there is Extended Session for Kindergarten and 1st Graders. Extended session meets on the 2nd –4th Sundays. The children stay in worship with their families on the 1st Sunday to participate in Holy Communion and the 5th Sunday to participate in leading worship by ushering. The children leave the service the other Sundays before the sermon with the Extended Session teacher Kelley McDonough where they have their own Bible lesson. |

On Wednesday evenings we have a variety of music and Bible study programs for children of all ages. 5:15-5:45-Melody Makers Choir (2nd grade- 5th grade) meets in the 3rd floor Choir room 5:45-6:15-Cherub Choir (age 3-1st grade) meets in room 205 6:00-6:30-Handbell Choir (4th grade and up) meets in the Corner Class on the 3rd floor 6:15-7:30-Dynamic Rotation for 3 year olds-5th Grade begin in the Storytelling Room on the 3rd floor |
